Presides over all meetings and acts as a representative to the Northwest community. Oversees all Executive Board members and delegates the council’s budget.
Handles all duties of the President in their absence. Takes attendance and minutes for all meetings. Runs the organization meetings in the absence of the President. Manages the designated membership retention program
Handles relations with traditional media outlets. Responsible for design and distribution of promotional materials in conjunction with Director of Marketing and Promotions.
Responsible for, but is not limited to, planning one concert per year. Takes responsibility for alternating genres and gathering student opinions and feedback on concerts.
Plans and executes special events, such as, but not limited to late night programming and weekend programming
Plans and coordinates entertainment and special event programming. Books a variety of entertainment acts throughout the year including, but not limited to, comedians, magicians, hypnotists, illusionists. Also responsible for collaborating with campus offices and departments in the planning of major events on campus (Advantage Week, SOAR events, Family Weekend, Walkout Day, Homecoming and Northwest Week).
Finds, plans and organizes speakers to come to campus for the lecture series. Contacts special interest groups for co-sponsorship opportunities or to provide information regarding lectures (i.e. relevant clubs and organizations, teachers, and outside community groups).
Executes marketing plans for each event by promoting events through online social media outlets and public awareness strategies.
