online course development fellowship

The learning & teaching Center Office offers northwest faculty funding opportunities for the development of online courses. ltc seeks proposals from individual and teams of faculty members to develop online undergraduate and graduate courses. our goal is to increase access to northwest students off campus to high quality courses that enrich the students' learning experiences.

the call for proposals is normally sent out in mid-november via e-mail. course development typically takes place during the following summer months. courses involved in the project are expected to incorporate appropriate innovative technologies.

faculty members developing online courses will be supported with a stipend which is based on $1,000 per credit hour.

faculty who receive an online course development fellowship are expected to participate in a short series of workshops (during the spring semester) that will provide them with an opportunity to learn with and from leaders in online learning and instructional technology and from other participants in the program.
